Pat ODonnell & Co, Irelands leading supplier of Heavy Construction Equipment and Machinery, are seeking a Parts Sales Counterperson, for their Parts Department working as part of a busy, team Based at our branch in Portadown, Armagh, liaising with all areas of the business

Job Summary

Dealing with all manner of movement of goods in our parts warehouse. Stock receipt, Sales, Returns, Service, administration and branch order processing.

Job Type: Full Time (39 hours per week)

Main Responsibilities

Process parts orders and purchase requisitions on a daily basis in a timely manner.

Pick, pack & dispatch parts orders. Moving goods around storage facility for delivery.

Following all Health & Safety and Standard Operating Procedures

Manage inbound order process.

Assist with general parts administration including invoicing, pricing, purchasing logistics.

Enter all information required into the ERP system

Liaise with customers and suppliers in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner.

Co-ordinate with internal departments/areas in relation to the provision of parts

Support the ongoing activity and development of the Parts function within the company, including process improvement.

Supporting in the selling of products and/or services

Support other team members to ensure all deadlines are achieved.

Storing and retrieving parts in the warehouse in a timely manner.

Taking inventory of warehouse goods, stock checks

Attending training

Experience and Qualifications

Experience within a warehouse environment working with computerised stock management systems is desirable.

A valid forklift counterbalance licence is essential.

Manual Handling training an advantage.

The ability to lift and move plant machine parts/equipment essential

Experience of providing excellent customer service

Must have administration skills.

Must be computer literate.

A Technical/ Mechanical background advantageous

Experience of using ERP system an advantage

Experience of multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines.

Experience of working in teams and enjoy working in a busy environment.

Individuals with a Mechanical certificate or diplomas or time served as an apprentice will have a distinct advantage.

Individuals with experience in a Parts Department within the Motor, Truck, Construction or Agricultural Machine industries will have a distinct advantage.

Salary £31,000 per annum

It is a condition of the role holder to accept the requirement for medical vaccinations for certain working environments throughout employment with the Company, (the Company will cover the cost of same).

This is a description of the job as it is at present constituted. It is the company’s practice to periodically examine employee’s job descriptions and to update them to ensure that they relate to the job as it is performed, or to incorporate whatever changes are being proposed. The line manager in consultation with the post holder concerned jointly conducts this procedure. It is the company’s aim to reach agreement to reasonable changes, but if agreement is not possible management reserves the right to insist on changes to the job descriptions after prior consultations.
