Health & Safety Officer

Alison Gray Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established company for a Health & Safety Officer to join their growing team in East Belfast!

• Pay:£36 – 40k per annum
• Hours:Monday – Friday 8am – 4:40pm
• Length:6 month contract

Your New Day to Day:

• Review, update, and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations, and monitor compliance with Health & Safety standards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, inductions, and awareness programmes to improve employee engagement.
• Support managers and teams in implementing Health & Safety requirements and promoting a positive safety culture.
• Develop and maintain safety communications, signage, and induction materials.
• Prepare the site for internal and external Health & Safety audits.
• Complete and review operational risk assessments and drive continuous Health & Safety improvements.
• Track and close Health & Safety action plans while recommending improvements to the site’s safety management system.

What You Can Bring:

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, or operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and hazard identification processes.
• Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
• Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
• Practical and hands-on approach to improving workplace safety.
