VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our major Public Sector client, a large organisation with the recruitment of a Regeneration Project Assistant to join their team based in Newtownabbey.

About your next employer

You’ll be joining a progressive local authority within its Economic Development and Planning service. The Regeneration Team delivers a range of initiatives designed to revitalise town centres, support local businesses and drive sustainable economic growth through regeneration projects, grant programmes and community engagement.

About you

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Maths) or equivalent
  • At least 1 year’s administrative or clerical experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information accurately
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full driving licence (or access to suitable transport)

What you’ll do

  • Provide administrative support to regeneration and economic development projects
  • Assist with the administration and monitoring of grant-funded programmes
  • Maintain project records, databases and audit documentation
  • Support stakeholder engagement with businesses and community organisations
  • Assist with procurement and quotation processes
  • Review grant applications and prepare reports for decision-making
  • Monitor project expenditure and support funding claims
  • Organise business engagement events and meetings
  • Respond to customer enquiries and provide administrative support to the wider team
  • Help maintain online business directories and project information systems
