The Emerald Team in our people’s service is looking for a Senior Adolescent support worker to join on a fixed‑term basis to March 2028. The Emerald team works with young people who are vulnerable to child exploitation or at risk of going missing. Using a multi‑disciplinary team approach, the service aims to impact by reducing the risks young people face.
The role of a Senior Support Worker is to support complex families in achieving positive outcomes and lasting change. This will include supervising and developing team members, as well as improving the quality of practice through effective training and strong leadership. The Senior Support Worker will provide day to day line management, ensuring workloads are effectively organised and managed. They will also be responsible for handling complex situations with confidence and professionalism, while coordinating family action plans with a high standard of communication across all involved parties.
The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant field or a NVQ Level 4 qualification. They will also possess a Level 4 qualification in management or have comparable managerial experience. The candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in managing, motivating, and developing teams. They will have substantial experience working with vulnerable children, adolescents, and their families and carers.
