MIG Welder
Location: HuddersfieldJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am – 4:45pm (37-hour week)Pay: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
A well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Huddersfield is looking to recruit an experienced MIG Welder to join its growing production team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role with the added benefit of a 4-day working week, giving you every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. Enjoy a better work-life balance with a long weekend every week, while still working full-time hours. Regular overtime is also available for those looking to boost their earnings.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding on mild steel components to a high standard.
- Work from engineering drawings and production specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble steel components where required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
- Work as part of a production team to meet daily manufacturing targets.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a MIG Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible to work overtime when required.
