Job Description:

The role of Bank Senior Care Assistant at Agincare Homes Holdings offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced care professionals. This permanent position is based in Weymouth, where you will join a welcoming and specialised support team at Agincourt Care Home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide person‑centred care – ensuring residents receive personal care, including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences and promoting choice and independence.
  • Carry out care reviews to confirm resident plans reflect their needs.
  • Administer medication safely, in a supportive and compliant manner.
  • Lead and participate in social activities, including trips out and other engagements within the home.
  • Support new staff or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called upon to lead the home when senior managers are unavailable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK.
  • NVQ Level 2 – Health and Social Care qualification.
  • NVQ Level 3 – Health and Social Care qualification, or working towards it.
  • Flexibility to work night and weekend shifts as required.
  • Daytime shifts: 8am to 8pm; night shifts: 8pm to 8am.

Employment Details

This is a permanent position based in Weymouth at Agincourt Care Home. You will be available for bank shifts throughout the year, including nights and weekends. The role offers predictable hours around the core daytime schedule, with peak demand during evenings and nights.
