Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a permanent Social Worker for its Support & Safeguarding Team in Wiltshire, Full Time. Salary up to £45,841 per annum.
Job Overview
As the primary worker, responsibilities include case management and delivery of statutory duties for children in need, protection and looked‑after children; interpretation and implementation of departmental policy; managing risk, consulting with families, writing reports and attending conferences and court hearings. The role requires working with other agencies to achieve positive outcomes and ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Primary case responsibility for children in need, protection and looked‑after children.
- Interpret and implement statutory duties, departmental policy and procedures.
- Manage day‑to‑day casework, comply with assessment frameworks and legal time‑scales.
- Develop and review individual plans with children, young people and families/carers.
- Organise and facilitate core group meetings for plan implementation.
- Write reports for child protection conferences, legal planning meetings, looked‑after children reviews, legal meetings and court hearings.
- Collaborate with other agencies to deliver coordinated services focused on positive outcomes.
- Attend Local Allocation Group case discussions and other relevant panels.
- Maintain accurate electronic records of casework.
- Contribute positively to team meetings and processes.
- Support service delivery through knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Post‑qualifying social work experience (specified level of experience required).
Working Hours & Availability
Full‑time. Will occasionally work outside normal hours, including weekends, when children and families need support.
