Position
A Business Support Clerical Assistant within our Business Support Service based at The Johnnie Walker Bond in Kilmarnock, supporting the Ayrshire Community Blood Service Administration Team.
Hours
21.6 hours per week, working Monday, Thursday and Friday. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
What You Will Do
In support of our core purpose, you will provide comprehensive, community‑oriented administrative and clerical support to the Community Blood Service Administration Team. Your role will ensure the flow of communication, project a professional image, serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors and callers, and manage enquiries promptly and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policies. You will work flexibly to cover staff absences and periods of higher demand.
Knowledge, Training and/or Experience Required for this Post
- SVQ2 in Business / Administration or equivalent;
- Working experience in a Health and / or Social Care environment;
- Experience maintaining management information systems (MIS) including databases and spreadsheets;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office systems.
