Responsible for operation of material handling equipment for the purpose of accurate shipping, processing and receiving. To include but is not limited to, unloading, loading, picking, and stacking product.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a steward for all company Health and Safety policies and procedures including, safe operation of MHE, usage of the required PPE, and hazard reporting.
- Be proactive in ensuring the integrity of the food safety and food quality system are maintained
- Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
- Unloading/loading containers and articulated lorries.
- Material sorting based on size, colour, type, batch, Best Before Date or product code.
- Arrange materials for order assembly.
- Follow production schedules and works orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials within warehouse to appropriate department (shipping, production and/or storage), in accordance with schedule and operating procedures
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or production line as required.
- Housekeeping duties as required
- Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements & Skills
- Flexi/Counterbalance license (within 3 years of last refresher is preferable).
- 2 years warehousing experience.
- Ability to work a flexible shift schedule.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Can manage high workloads and prioritise needs.
- Experience of working with a WMS system.
- Able to communicate effectively, with fluency in English.
- Team player.
Additional Information:
- Personal clothing is allowed, but strict health & safety procedures must be followed to avoid cross-contamination. Jewellery, rings, earrings, false nails, nail varnish and false eyelashes are notpermittedin the warehouse.Shorts must be on or below the knee.
