FLT Production Operative

Salary

• Starting Salary: £32,680 (£30,000 basic + £2,680 shift allowance)
• After successful probation: £33,661 (£30,900 basic + £2,761 shift allowance)

Shift Pattern

• 12‑Hour Panama Shifts (Days & Nights)
• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday
• 7:00am – 7:00pm
• 7:00pm – 7:00am

This shift pattern provides regular extended periods off throughout the month, helping to support a healthy work‑life balance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing.
• Safely operating a Forklift Truck to move raw materials, finished goods and stock throughout the site.
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials to support production activities.
• Completing machine changeovers efficiently and safely.
• Carrying out routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Reporting machinery faults and equipment issues promptly.
• Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience within a food manufacturing or production environment.
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence.
• Experience operating FLT equipment safely within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• A strong understanding of health and safety practices.
