Support Worker

Astbury is looking for an enthusiastic, caring Support Worker to join our close-knit team in the beautiful setting of Marton.

Full time, 37.5 hours per week. A UK driving licence is desirable.

• Take clients on exciting day trips, shopping sprees, and coastal drives.
• Create a home‑like environment through gardening, interior decorating, or karaoke sessions.
• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred support that helps clients achieve their goals and live their best lives.

• You’re passionate about making a genuine difference.
• You’re versatile and handy with a paintbrush or a trowel.
• You’re flexible and able to work varying day, night, and weekend shifts.
• You have a UK driving licence to operate client vehicles.

Main Duties of the Job

• Prepare and review person‑centred support plans in collaboration with clients.
• Support clients to fulfil their aspirations and live independently.
• Communicate openly and transparently with clients and other team members.
• Respect clients’ dignity by providing personal care when required.
• Keep accurate records, including daily notes.
• Coordinate with carers, families, inspectors, and external stakeholders.
• Meet physical requirements of the role such as climbing stairs, using hoists, and moving people.

Qualifications

• Essential: Care Certificate or ability to undertake Care Certificate.
• Desirable: Current driver licence.

Experience

• Desirable: Previous experience working in care or as a carer at home.
