Overview
We are looking for a Project Worker to join our team at Bethany Christian Centre, a supported residential community for men who are homeless, providing assistance to individuals in their recovery from addiction.
Responsibilities
- Involved in the day‑to‑day running of the residential unit
- Provide emotional and practical support to residents in overcoming addiction
- Enable residents to live independently through support planning and assessments
- Deliver group‑work sessions and related key activities
Qualifications and Experience
- SVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience in a residential/housing support setting
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability
- Competence in Microsoft Office tools
- Lived experience of addiction and recovery, or experience supporting someone in recovery, would be an advantage
Eligibility and Requirements
- Membership of the Preferred Vetting Group (PVG) scheme is required
- Right to work in the UK and able to provide a reference from a church minister or leader endorsing an active Christian faith and commitment
- Only male applicants will be considered to reduce barriers of access for all‑male residents
- Post carries an Occupational Requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010 due to the Christian faith of the organization

Employment Terms
- Permanent full‑time – 37.5 hours per week
- Starting salary: £27,280 gross per annum pro‑rata (includes pay for regular sleepovers)
- Holiday entitlement: 225 hours per year pro‑rata
