Teaching Assistant – Level 2

£93 – £110 per day
Age group: Flexible
Working hours: Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30)
Start date: September (dependant on references and DBS)
We are currently working with a fantastic school within the Blackburn area that are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join them from September.
The ideal candidates will have a passion for education, supporting children with additional needs, and be committed to helping each child in the most effective way depending on the individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Class Teacher in preparing work for the lesson ahead
- Assist with group activities
- Work with children on a 1:1 and group basis
- Tailor lesson plans to individual needs
- Work inside and outside the classroom
- Work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher
- Support pupils with personal care needs when appropriate
Requirements
- Confident in communicating with parents, pupils and members of staff
- Able to handle difficult situations and behaviour efficiently
- Implementing and supporting positive behaviour throughout the school
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Experience working with SEND
