Drive Curriculum Innovation
Take the lead in shaping and developing our Hair & Beauty curriculum, ensuring programmes remain relevant, engaging and reflective of current industry practice. You’ll help ensure that specialist salons, treatment rooms, equipment and resources provide an outstanding environment for learning.
Build Industry Partnerships
Develop strong relationships with salons, spas, barbers, beauty businesses, self‑employed practitioners and wider industry partners. These connections will help create exciting opportunities for work experience, enrichment activities, guest speakers and progression routes for learners.
Champion Learner Success
You’ll work closely with staff to monitor progress, celebrate achievements and provide interventions where needed, ensuring every learner has the support and encouragement to achieve their goals.
Bring the Industry into the Classroom
Oversee commercial salon activity to ensure learners gain valuable real‑world experience in client consultations, customer service, professional standards, retail opportunities and working within realistic commercial expectations.
Qualifications
- Recent teaching and tutoring experience.
- Experience leading and delivering a curriculum area.
- Experience teaching and/or leading Hair and Beauty programmes.
- Experience managing and developing teams.
- A strong understanding of current Hair & Beauty industry practice and progression routes.
- Holds: A relevant degree or higher‑level professional qualification in Hairdressing, Barbering, Beauty Therapy, or a related discipline.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively.
- Passionate about developing learners and staff.
- Positive, proactive and solutions‑focused.
- Ability to inspire confidence, ambition and professionalism in others.
