We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Fareham Distribution Centre as a Class 2 Driver.
The successful applicant will work 45 hours per week, working any five of seven days on a variety of shift patterns, including Saturday or Sunday work depending on the rota.
Our Class 2 deliveries require handballing and manual work and can be physically demanding, including work outside in adverse weather and handballing products at delivery points.
Please note that all candidates will have to undertake a drug and alcohol test as part of the pre‑employment tests.
You will be responsible for
Delivering stock safely to independent retailer stores, completing several multi‑drop deliveries a day (varying quantity), ensuring all paperwork is completed after delivery, maintaining vehicle condition at the start and finish of each shift, and working autonomously as well as part of the wider transport team.
You will need
- Class 2 Licence Holder.
- Driver CPC Holder.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Experience of multi‑drop; temperature‑controlled food deliveries preferred but not essential.
- Availability to work 45 hours a week (overtime available).
- Flexibility in work and hours, including short notice.
- Applicants with more than 6 points on the licence, careless driving, mobile phone use or drink driving offences, or those who have failed to comply with construction of use will not be considered.
Other information
We can only accept candidates over the age of 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves working in areas such as the warehouse, beers, wines & spirits, and driving roles.
