Job Description
South Coast Nursing Homes is a family-owned provider of care across East and West Sussex. Each of the 9 registered homes offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours – day and night.
An opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes group for a Domestic Assistant at White Lodge Residential Home in East Preston.
Hours: 25 hrs per week, 9am-2pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
The purpose of this role is to keep the home clean and safe, providing a superiorservice to our residents.
- To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
- To clean residents’ rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care. To check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
- To clean communal area’s including mopping, vacuuming, dusting
- Ensuring the home is safe e.g removing clutter, keeping storage area’s tidy
- Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
- To present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed
- To take particular care with resident’s personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well ironed state.
- To check resident’s personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair if necessary
Package:
