We’re looking for a Service Team Member to join us at Bodnant Garden Craft Centre to support our busy teams across visitor operations. This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll help us meet targets, solve problems, and deliver great service across different locations.
This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We’ll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
We’re proud of the role the Welsh language plays in the places and communities we care for across Wales.
Whether you’re a fluent Welsh speaker, a learner, or completely new to the language, we’ll support you to develop the skills and confidence needed for your role and to engage with Welsh language and culture as part of working at the National Trust.
What it’s like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a team of 4. You’ll work around 2-3 days per week on a rota. Typically, you’ll work between 9:30am-5pm including some weekends and bank holidays.
What you’ll be doing
As a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.
You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised. All the items are created by local crafters.
