Overview


Assistant Plan Coordinator – Location: South Yorkshire (our client area). Contract: Initial 3 months. Hours: 37 per week. Working Pattern: Hybrid – office-based Mondays and Thursdays. Pay Rate: £17.70 per hour (Umbrella) / £13.69 per hour (PAYE).


About the Role


We are currently recruiting for an organised and detail-oriented Assistant Plan Coordinator to join a busy Education, Health and Care (EHC) Team within a local authority in South Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to support essential EHCP administration within a fast-paced environment.


Role Details


The EHC Team requires short-term support to assist with the administration of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will play a key role in ensuring processes run smoothly and deadlines are met, contributing to the delivery of high-quality services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.


This is a hybrid role, with mandatory office attendance on Mondays and Thursdays at a central client location. Please note, this role is not suitable for fully remote working.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide administrative support for EHCP processes

  • Manage and monitor a busy team inbox, responding to queries efficiently

  • Use Excel to track, update, and maintain accurate records

  • Support the team in meeting strict statutory deadlines

  • Assist with general coordination tasks within the EHC Team

  • Ensure data is recorded accurately and in a timely manner


About You – Essential Experience & Skills



  • Experience in education and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work at pace

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines

  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with data

  • Experience managing shared inboxes or high-volume email communication

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication and teamworking skills

  • A proactive and professional approach
