Overview

Responsible for maintaining excellent standards of customer service at all times, with particular attention to all aspects of fire safety. Wetherspoon has built its success on delivering the best CQSMA standards: cleanliness, quality, service, maintenance, and atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of service and safety standards, and the safe running of the hotel overnight.
• Handle reservations and respond to enquiries.
• Complete hourly security checks and be responsible for evacuation in emergencies.
• Maintain the duty manager logbook and report all accidents and incidents accurately.
• Adhere fully to licensing law, trading standards, customs & excise regulations, food hygiene, and health & fire safety.

Qualifications

• Professional, well‑presented appearance.
• Good conversational English and an excellent customer‑service focus.
• Strong communication skills with people at all levels.
• Self‑motivated with a high level of enthusiasm.
• Resilience under pressure and confidence in handling emergency or conflict situations.
• Fixed place of residence reasonably close to the pub and proof of right to work in the UK.
• Must be over 18 years old.
