Deputy Manager – Edge of Care Reunification Home
Stockton‑on‑Tees Borough Council is leading an innovative, trauma‑informed intervention hub designed to support children and families during critical moments. We need a Deputy Manager to help shape this model of care, build a strong team, and deliver life‑changing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Help build a new service from day one, embedding trauma‑informed practice and creating a safe, nurturing culture.
- Lead shifts, model high‑quality care and ensure consistent child‑centred practice.
- Support the delivery of a structured 12‑week reunification programme.
- Provide supervision, coaching and reflective support to staff, building a resilient workforce.
- Collaborate with the Edge‑of‑Care Outreach Team and therapeutic practitioners for joined‑up support.
- Maintain high standards, monitor outcomes and ensure regulatory and safeguarding compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced practitioner within residential childcare or edge‑of‑care services.
- Skilled in trauma‑informed, relational practice and managing complex behaviours.
- Confident in leading practice on shift and supervising staff.
- Knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Passion for helping children and families achieve positive change.
