Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the private sector housing team in enforcing the Additional Licensing Scheme, focusing on HMO standards in Gloucester.
- Support the delivery of the Renters Rights Act 2025 and the Disabled Facilities Grant team.
- Investigate housing complaints, inspect and license houses in multiple occupation, and ensure compliance with mobile home site licence conditions.
- Work closely with wider housing colleagues to improve social and supported housing.
- Apply organisational, communication and mediation skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Adapt flexibly to changing priorities and project demands.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated understanding of housing legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in a local authority housing enforcement environment or grant delivery team is preferred.
- Strong transferable skills, experience and behavioural attributes outlined in the job profile.
