Overview

Ideally, we are seeking someone with experience in building maintenance and/or a relevant trade such as joinery, plumbing, or decorating. A strong understanding of health and safety, including knowledge of relevant legislation, is essential. Above all, we are looking for a candidate who is committed to maintaining high standards of premises safety, security, and upkeep. The role will also involve booking, coordinating, and overseeing contractors working on site. The successful candidate will receive appropriate training, ongoing support, and mentoring from an experienced Site Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain premises safety, security, and upkeep.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors on site; book and manage contractor work.
  • Follow health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Receive training and mentoring from the Site Facilities Manager.
  • Perform extensive manual duties as required (the role is physically demanding).

Requirements

  • Experience in building maintenance or related trades (joinery, plumbing, decorating) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety and relevant legislation.
  • Commitment to high standards of safety and upkeep.
  • Ability to work 37 hours per week.
