Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production / Warehouse Manager to join our growing operation in Corby. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily production and warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, safety, quality, and operational performance across the site. The successful candidate will be a strong people manager with excellent organisational skills, a practical approach to problem‑solving, and the ability to make effective decisions in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all warehouse and production operations to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse and production teams to achieve high performance standards.
  • Ensure goods are received, stored, picked, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor production schedules and workflows to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee stock control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Produce operational reports and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage staffing levels, training requirements, and performance management activities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager, Production Manager, or similar operational management role.
  • Valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift Licences (essential).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and production processes.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Good IT skills, including experience with warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible, hands‑on approach with a strong work ethic.

Desirable

  • Experience managing warehouse and production functions within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies).
  • Experience with KPI management and operational reporting.
