A leading specialist environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join its growing Environmental Team.

The Role
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate complex environmental projects across sectors including:
- Data centres
- Pharmaceutical and biologics facilities
- Large-scale residential developments
- Commercial developments
- Transport and infrastructure projects
- Advanced manufacturing facilities
This position requires a strong combination of technical environmental expertise, project management capability, leadership skills and high-quality report writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the preparation and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports.
- Manage Industrial Emissions licence applications and associated environmental documentation.
- Prepare EIA screening and scoping reports, Human Health Impact Assessments, operational reports and technical opinions.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to junior team members and specialist subcontractors.
- Manage communications with clients, regulators, external stakeholders and project partners.
- Lead complex environmental projects and programmes from initial assessment through planning and post-planning stages.
- Provide strategic oversight and post-planning approval support.
- Prepare proposals, scopes of work and technical strategies in response to client requirements.
- Maintain high standards of technical quality, compliance and project delivery.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of five years' experience within the environmental sector.
- Demonstrable experience preparing Environmental Impact Assessments and/or supporting EPA Industrial Emissions licensing.
- A relevant honours degree in environmental science or a related discipline.
- Strong technical report-writing and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
- Ability to lead projects, manage deadlines and respond to changing project requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex technical information and produce clear, concise outputs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable Experience
- More than five years of relevant professional experience.
- A full clean driving licence.
- Environmental auditing or site inspection experience.
- Experience preparing Environmental Liability Risk Assessments.
- Experience preparing Closure, Restoration and Aftercare Management Plans.
- Experience coordinating environmental monitoring programmes, including water, effluent and licensed discharge monitoring.
- Experience preparing environmental compliance and monitoring reports.
- Professional chartership or membership with a recognised environmental body.
