Location: Basildon, Essex

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (Onsite)

Salary: £23,958.38 per annum

About the Role

We are working with a well-established, UK-based importer and wholesale distributor to recruit an Export Sales & Logistics Co-ordinator to join their Sales Office team in Basildon.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced team within one of the UK’s leading wholesale distribution businesses. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining a portfolio of offshore accounts, providing essential support to field-based Account Managers, and ensuring the highest levels of customer service are delivered across all export operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining a portfolio of offshore accounts, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day enquiries
  • Providing sales and administrative support to field-based Account Managers
  • Preparing shipping documentation and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Processing orders and managing dispatch efficiently and accurately
  • Processing sample requests and managing customer bookings via phone and email
  • Maintaining back orders and keeping customers updated on the progress of their shipments
  • Setting up new accounts and delivery keys on internal systems
  • Creating orders from spreadsheets and emails and liaising with internal departments on bookings and orders
  • Booking direct containers and coordinating deliveries
  • Processing paperwork for drivers as part of the wider team
  • Providing support to the Team Leader and other members of the Sales Office team

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in an export, logistics, sales support or co-ordination role
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Confident and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of order processing and customer account management
  • A proactive and team-focused approach with good attention to detail
  • Experience with shipping documentation and export compliance is advantageous
  • German or French language skills are beneficial but not essential
