£30,941 per annum pro rata, £27,295 per annum actual

We are seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused Personal Development Coach to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis at Paston Sixth Form College in North Walsham. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in shaping the personal, social and academic development of our learners, supporting them to thrive both in college and beyond.
As a Personal Development Coach, you will work closely with students, teaching staff and support teams to deliver a high-quality pastoral and tutorial programme that promotes wellbeing, resilience, confidence and personal growth.
You will be responsible for building positive relationships with learners and encouraging them to engage fully in college life. Most of our students are aged 16–19, so the ability to communicate effectively with young people, inspire trust and create meaningful connections is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging and interactive group tutorial sessions on a range of relevant and contemporary topics from our personal development framework.
- Providing pastoral support, guidance and encouragement to students as they navigate their college journey.
- Conducting one-to-one tutorials, helping students set ambitious goals, monitor progress and overcome barriers to learning.
- Supporting student wellbeing by signposting learners to specialist college services when appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with curriculum teams to promote personal development and identify students who may benefit from additional support.
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and able to succeed.

Experience working with young people in an educational, training, youth work or support setting would be advantageous; however, we welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
