Training Programme Director – Scotland Deanery

Hours: 1.5 PA (6 hours per week)

Duration: Fixed Term for 36 months

Location: Remote friendly – you can work from home, office or hybrid within the UK.

About PSD Scotland: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland) is a national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.

Role Overview

The Training Programme Director is required to provide leadership and oversight of national training programmes within the Scotland Deanery, and to contribute to other operational and strategic work within the wider specialty grouping.

The role involves interaction with trainees, trainers and external bodies to support and enhance postgraduate education regionally and nationally across the Scotland Deanery.

Accountability: The TPD should be a consultant and is accountable to the Postgraduate Dean or appropriate Associate Dean.

Additional duties: The role may also combine the position with that of an educational and/or clinical supervisor.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a consultant‑level background in the relevant specialty and possess experience in educational leadership or postgraduate training.
