Principal Java Engineer – Edinburgh

Salary: £70,000 – 70,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a Senior or Principal Java Software Engineer with highly proficient experience in Java 21.
• We need strong object-oriented software design skills.
• We require solid experience working in Linux environments.
• We need experience with the Spring framework, particularly Spring Boot.
• We would value experience with Scrum.
• We would value project management experience.
• We would value mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• We will have you develop and support complex, algorithmic Java software within a Linux environment.
• We will have you develop and use software APIs between components in a Linux system.
• We will ask you to collaborate closely with team members, product management, and engineering management on requirements.
• We will have you contribute to intellectual property and software assets.
• We will have you work across the full software lifecycle, including design, implementation, integration, and bug fixing.
