Join our Housing Investment & Asset Management team as a Project Support Officer and play a key role in supporting contract governance, performance management, and service improvement activities that make a real difference to residents across Brighton & Hove.
About the role
To provide administrative and coordination support to the Performance Management Team and wider Housing Investment & Asset Management service. The role ensures effective documentation, tracking, and communication of contractual and operational activities, enabling strategic focus and continuous improvement across contract governance and project delivery.
What you will do
- Coordinate and document Core Group Meetings (CGMs), including preparation of agendas, minutes, and action logs, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate, and accessible.
- Monitor shared inboxes and track timebound contractual obligations, procurement triggers, and action points using structured templates and systems.
- Maintain and update the contract pipeline and obligations matrix, escalating risks or delays to relevant officers.
- Support Contract Managers and Project Managers by maintaining documentation, scheduling meetings, and tracking progress against milestones.
- Ensure consistent filing and retrieval of compliance documentation, including health & safety records, audit trails, and procurement evidence.
- Liaise with internal teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance) to ensure timely communication of contractual events and obligations.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of performance tracking tools and templates, ensuring data accuracy and usability.
- Provide administrative support for working groups and service improvement initiatives, including meeting coordination and documentation.
- Assist in the onboarding and induction of new contractors by preparing documentation and coordinating logistics.
- Promote inclusive and accessible communication practices in all documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Support the Programme Manager and Performance Officers in delivering service plan objectives and continuous improvement activities.

Job details
Salary £28,142 – £28,598. Contractual hours 37. Basis Flexi Hours. Location: Housing Centre, Fairway Trading Estate, Eastergate Road, Brighton, BN2 4QL.
