Deputy Support Manager – Huntingdon & Peterborough

Contract Type: Part Time

Working Hours: 22.5 hours per week

Rate: £15.71 per hour (£30,723.50 annually, pro rata)

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Job Introduction

We are seeking a passionate, committed and enthusiastic person with a “can do” attitude to support adults with learning disabilities and Autism in Peterborough and Huntingdon. This part‑time role offers an opportunity to develop in a management position and be part of a supportive community team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day‑to‑day delivery of high-quality, safe and person‑centred support.
  • Foster excellent working relationships among all teams, families, professionals, referrers and other stakeholders.
  • Support the Support Manager in improving the care and services for people we support, identifying meaningful opportunities for their involvement in shaping their lives and contributing to the organisation.
  • Lead by example and provide hands‑on support to people when required.
  • Deputise for the Support Manager in their absence and be willing to work flexibly according to organisational needs, including participation in an out‑of‑hours on‑call rota.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Full UK manual driving licence and access to a private vehicle.
  • Relevant sector experience in a senior post with adults with learning disabilities and/or Autism.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and support on‑call rota as required.
