Export Control Officer

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with national and international export control regulations.
• Manage export license applications and ensure timely approvals.
• Assess and classify goods, technology, and data under export control regulations.
• Liaise with government agencies and regulatory authorities.
• Provide guidance to internal teams on export control compliance.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments related to export activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance reporting.
• Implement and improve processes.
• Monitor shipments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Law, or a related field.
• Proven experience of +3 years in export control, compliance, or international trade.
• Strong knowledge of export regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use Regulations).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Availability for travelling.
• Language Requirements: Advanced proficiency in English, with proven fluency at the C2 level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with customs authorities and licensing bodies.
• Certification in export compliance (e.g., Certified Export Specialist, ECITB).
• Knowledge of restricted party screening and trade sanctions.
