MEP Project Engineer

MEP Pre-Construction Engineer Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, UK Salary: £60,000 – £85,000 + Benefits MEP Pre-Construction Engineer – Major Construction Projects An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEP Pre-Construction Engineer to join a rapidly expanding project delivery team in Newcastle. You will be responsible for leading Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) input during the pre-construction phase of large-scale commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate MEP designs during tender and pre-construction stages.
• Support cost planning, value engineering and technical submissions.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and client stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist with procurement and construction planning activities.

Requirements

• Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience within pre-construction, design management or project engineering.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
