Requirements

• Active SC Security Clearance is essential.
• Strong hands‑on software development experience with C# and .NET Framework / .NET Core.
• Experience developing applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.
• Experience with Azure PaaS services including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Service Bus and Azure Key Vault.
• Technical skills in C#, .NET, Azure, REST APIs, service integration, and object‑oriented design principles.
• Experience with Git source control and GitHub‑based workflows.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot AI tools to support development.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software engineering best practice.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience maintaining technical documentation in SharePoint, Wiki, Git, or similar repositories.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑scale Azure Cloud applications in a secure and highly regulated environment.
• Develop secure, high‑quality, and maintainable solutions using C# and .NET technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to maintain coding standards and software engineering best practice.
• Use GitHub‑based workflows for source code management.
• Use GitHub Copilot AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues across development, test, and production environments.
• Maintain software development technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

We are offering a 3 to 6 month contract for a .NET Developer based in Taunton, working in a hybrid set‑up with primarily remote working and travel to our Taunton, Somerset office typically three times per month. This is an opportunity to work with a leading global IT transformation team on a large‑scale Government project.
