Overview
Forest Lodge is a 22‑bed male forensic low‑secure unit that comprises two wards: the Assessment ward and the Rehabilitation ward. This role provides an opportunity to work within the NHS at a time when mental health focus is growing.
Responsibilities
You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team and work to ensure that service users have access to socially inclusive community services. Your duties include helping users gain confidence in making choices and decisions, promoting recovery, and supporting them to achieve goals such as living independently, securing employment or starting a family. You will also facilitate greater involvement of service users and their carers in important decision‑making that affects their interests.
Qualifications
Registered Mental Health Nurse with post‑registration experience. The ideal candidate will possess effective clinical leadership and communication skills, be dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high‑quality care and treatment in intensive rehabilitation environments. You must be able to lead, motivate and support a staff team, and demonstrate a commitment to a non‑punitive, value‑based approach to care delivery. Experience working across various mental health directorates is highly desirable.
