Data Centre – Electrical Engineer BiasHours: 42 hours per week (4 On 4 Off)Location: London, EC1V 7EB
Mitie seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to manage operations at our data centre, ensuring the safe, efficient, and resilient running of all critical engineering systems.
Role Responsibilities
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and uphold high standards of workmanship.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members.
- Maintain critical systems (HVAC, electrical, fire suppression, BMS) to the highest standards.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
- Ensure all engineering activities are accurately logged and documented, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, Health & Safety, and company policies.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
- Proven experience supervising engineering teams within critical environments (data centres, hospitals, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of building services systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC).
- Experience using CMMS systems and BMS platforms.
- IOSH/NEBOSH certification (desirable).
