Our clients span across the UK and internationally, including water companies, local authorities, highways/rail authorities, and developers.

It is an exciting time to be working for our UK Water business with unprecedented investment in the water industry. Due to continued framework successes, we seek to recruit a Principal / Associate Director Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller to join our Wastewater Team in Bristol/Cardiff to lead one of our hydraulic modelling frameworks for a leading UK Water Company.

Your role

  • Lead Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan, flood alleviation, and environmental solution development projects.
  • Lead model build, model maintenance, and verification projects.
  • Lead the development and delivery of wastewater catchment strategies and solutions.
  • Ensure quality of outputs and compliance with standards & specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Manage and/or support project managers to manage projects and programmes of works.
  • Support the development of tender responses and fee estimates.
  • Supervise and develop staff, providing guidance to support their professional development.
  • Contribute to technical innovation and lead improvement workgroups.

About You

  • Understanding of the UK Water industry and regulatory issues.
  • Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects.
  • Expertise using InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
  • Expertise in hydraulic modelling, catchment planning, and solution development.
  • Ability to review others’ work to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Expertise in MS 365 applications and knowledge of PowerBI and SharePoint.
  • Experience with software such as FME, Optimatics, Ruby (or similar) would be advantageous.
  • Relevant degree or vocational qualification.
  • Chartered with a relevant professional institution (i.e. ICE or CIWEM) would be advantageous.
