Overview
Are you a Design Manager with a background in Structural Steel looking to manage a smaller team of elite Engineers for a forward‑thinking business that has more than doubled its turnover in the last two years and is well on track to continue this growth? This manufacturer and service provider offers a full package of products and services that enable rapid expansion where others have fallen short.
Role
You will report to the Directors and be ultimately responsible for ensuring designs are completed on time. The role involves leading a small team of three Design Engineers, working with in‑house project managers and main contractors across residential, logistics and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Managing a small team of Design Engineers and 3D CAD Designers
- Ensuring deadlines are met and projects remain on schedule
- Checking design work and providing training & guidance to the team
- Co‑ordinating with internal Project Managers and clients
- Working Monday‑Friday, office based, 8:30 am to 5 pm (4 pm finish on Friday)
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience as a Design Manager or in a similar role
- Background in structural steel
- Knowledge of Advanced Steel or Tekla
