Senior Product Test Engineer (Electronics)

Location: Glenrothes, Fife, United Kingdom.Employment Type: Permanent, Fulltime 37 hrs.Worksite: On site, SC Required, BPSS compliance.

About the role

Raytheon UK, a global leader in defence and aerospace technology, is seeking a qualified electronics professional to support manufacturing engineering and test electronics projects. The role blends electronic test engineering with manufacturing production support, focusing on high reliability products and component‑level fault finding.

Responsibilities

  • Support test lifecycle activities for production projects.
  • Present test data and findings to engineering and production teams.
  • Diagnose, debug, and implement corrective actions for electronic assemblies.
  • Mentor diagnostic technicians and junior staff.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Test (DFM/DFT) principles.
  • Work within high reliability and military environments.
  • Challenge status quo and propose innovative solutions.
  • Assume responsibility across a range of electronic technologies.

Requirements

  • Degree, postgraduate, or HND in Electronics or equivalent.
  • Experience in defence, military, or high reliability manufacturing electronics.
  • Proven test and fault‑finding experience to component level.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and mentor others.
