We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Royal Navy Redevelopment team based in Plymouth, Devonport Dockyard. The position is full‑time (40 hours per week) with flexible hours available upon discussion. Candidates must hold a British passport, SC level security clearance, and a CSCS White card. Due to the high‑security Military Naval base, an 8‑week security vetting process is required. Sponsorship certificates are not available for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain an effective Quality Management System across all project levels.
  • Conduct internal audits and ensure timely resolution of any findings.
  • Review Inspection and Test Plans and support progressive sign‑off through client engagement.
  • Manage the material approval process and ensure appropriate certification is obtained.
  • Provide guidance, training and mentoring to site teams on quality matters.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Quality or Construction (HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng or MEng).
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems and understanding their practical application.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Hold or be able to obtain a CSCS White PQP/AQP card and SC level security clearance (British passport holders only).
