Job Overview

Join the Empty Homes Team at Liverpool City Council to transform empty properties into homes across the city. This hands‑on role involves managing a complex caseload, supporting a small team, and driving action from early intervention through enforcement to turn empty properties into thriving neighbourhoods.

Responsibilities

  • Manage own complex caseload of empty property cases
  • Support and supervise a small team to target the right properties
  • Use data, intelligence and local knowledge to drive action from early intervention to enforcement
  • Take forward challenging cases and deliver results where it matters most

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in housing or enforcement
  • Comfortable handling complex investigations
  • Able to balance own casework with supervising others
  • Sound judgement, strong communication skills and a solutions‑focused approach
