Associate / Senior Surveyor (Employer’s Agent / Project Manager)
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Associate or Senior Surveyor, experienced in project management, to join our London team.
Our sectors of operation include residential, commercial, arts & leisure, and education – with residential developments being our primary area of operation.

Requirements
The right individual will have:
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale residential development projects from inception to completion
- 3-5 years experience in delivering the Employer’s Agent role (Desirable)
- Confidence at client meetings
- Strong ambitions to develop their technical skills
- A team player approach and ability to work closely with clients and colleagues
- Commitment to the RICS and completing the APC, if not already achieved
- Good communication and workload management skills
- A methodical approach to tasks
- Experience in JCT contracts and Development Agreements (Desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
- Strong technical knowledge of construction
- A full, clean driving licence (Desirable)
Job Summary
No two days will be the same for our Associate / Senior Surveyors, but your general responsibilities will include: Providing pre-contract services including chairing client and development commercial and technical meetings
Providing Employer’s Agent and Contract Administration services across a variety of projects from inception to completion
Providing pre-contract services, including chairing design team meetings and managing the pre-construction phase
Working with consultant fee budgets and monthly reporting upon expenditure
Preparing, regulating, and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
Experience in various forms of procurement and contracts to be able to advise clients
Identifying, quantifying and managing risk on projects
Administering JCT construction contracts and development agreements, including chairing meetings
Valuing work completed on-site and certifying payments
Assessing cost variations
Preparing cost reports and cash flows
Preparing and agreeing final accounts
Assessing and agreeing extension of time and loss and expense claims
Mentoring our Assistant Surveyors in delivering our scope of services and achieving their own professional career goals
