Role Overview

Location: Oxfordshire, mobile covering up to Cambridge and London

Salary: Up to £47K + Car/Allowance

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, based in Reading, Berkshire

What You’ll Do

  • Take direct responsibility and accountability for managing stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring continuous improvement in safety, quality, time, and cost standards.
  • Act as the trusted advisor for all matters relating to estates & facilities at each property, championing change and new ways of working across sites.
  • Serve as the primary interface between building occupants and suppliers.
  • Ensure suppliers deliver to the highest safety and service standards, fulfilling all contractual obligations and acting in the best interest of stakeholders.
  • Leverage strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills to develop collaborative relationships with suppliers.
  • Maintain an enthusiastic, resilient, and customer‑first attitude, working under pressure in a reactive environment.
  • Manage the delivery of hard and soft facilities services.
  • Possess demonstrable knowledge of building compliance requirements and experience in managing corporate facilities and maintaining compliance.
  • Hold or pursue relevant qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH, IWFM Level 4, or ONC/HNC in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services disciplines.
  • Operate from a site‑based role, traveling to other sites as required; a full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Manage and report operational P&L.
  • Manage minor project works.

Who You’ll Be

  • Possess suitable experience within a Facilities Management background.
  • Be a member of IWFM or working towards IWFM Level 4 qualification.
  • Have a thorough understanding of statutory compliance & H&S in the built environment.
  • Have experience within a similar role or transferable skills.
  • Exhibit a patient, resilient and customer‑first manner, adaptable to prioritise successful outcomes.
  • Show excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships at all organisational levels.
  • Take a thorough, organised approach with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement.
  • Be enthusiastic, conscientious, and a team player.
  • Have a good level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn bespoke systems.
  • Have worked across multiple locations and facilities in a corporate environment.
  • Travel to various sites as required in the Thames Valley and London area.
