Project Manager – Temporary Power & Lighting

You will be responsible for managing the safe and successful delivery of critical site infrastructure at a nuclear power plant, ensuring temporary electrical systems support ongoing construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of temporary installations, power and lighting work packages.
- Lead engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to required quality standards.
- Manage contract performance, commercial obligations and stakeholder relationships.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and recovery plans.
- Monitor project progress, costs, risks, opportunities and change controls.
- Interface with construction, engineering, commissioning and operational teams.
- Manage contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Support planning and delivery of temporary electrical infrastructure to meet construction demands.
- Drive resolution of technical, commercial and delivery issues.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, nuclear quality standards and site safety requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven project management experience on major construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.
- Experience managing electrical installations, temporary power systems, site services or utilities infrastructure.
- Experience delivering projects within highly regulated environments.
- Experience managing cost, schedule, risk and change.
- Experience working directly with construction and site delivery teams.
- Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Nuclear industry experience.
- Experience with temporary power and lighting systems.
- Experience with electrical infrastructure projects.
- NEC and/or FIDIC contract experience.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
