SSWI Inclusion Co-ordinator (HE)

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced and student-focused SSWI Inclusion Co‑ordinator (HE) to lead the coordination of inclusive support for Higher Education students. You’ll play a key role in identifying student needs, securing and implementing appropriate support arrangements, including Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) and Non‑Medical Helper (NMH) provision, while providing leadership and guidance to a team of Disability Specialists. Through early intervention, collaboration, and expert advice, you’ll help ensure students can achieve their full potential and thrive in an inclusive learning environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Coordinate and oversee specialist support for Higher Education students with disabilities and additional needs, including DSA applications, NMH provision, and tailored support plans.
• Build strong relationships with students, curriculum teams, support services, funding bodies, and external partners to identify needs, implement reasonable adjustments, and promote inclusive learning practices.
• Monitor student engagement, wellbeing, and attainment, providing timely interventions and prioritising support to ensure students receive the assistance they need to succeed.
• Lead, develop, and support a team of Disability Specialists, ensuring high‑quality service delivery through effective performance management, professional development, and resource planning.
• Manage resources, budgets, data reporting, and compliance requirements relating to DSA and NMH provision, ensuring accurate records and effective use of support funding.
