Job Summary

The Team Supervisor supports the Team Manager in supervising the team, allocating work, analyzing performance data, managing people, and developing team members on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate team resources to meet key performance indicators and targets, including quality and productivity.
  • Collate and analyze data to inform decisions, report to the Team Manager, and escalates issues as they arise.
  • Support team members to reach their potential through performance conversations, career development, mentoring, coaching, and training plans.
  • Address performance issues and support staff to overcome challenges, ensuring alignment with HR policies.
  • Identify and manage internal risks, including Health and Safety and Information Awareness, logging risks and ensuring appropriate action.
  • Support team engagement and communication by delivering briefings, cascading messages, and facilitating team meetings.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection: shortlisting, interview panels, and delivering new‑starter inductions.
  • When capacity allows, undertake caseworker tasks and handle escalated/complex communications.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Analytical and numerical problem‑solving with decision‑making ability.
  • Interpersonal skills and constructive feedback.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable Knowledge, Experience and Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Civil Billing workstreams and processes.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring.
  • Understanding of organisational priorities and impact across case management.
  • Knowledge of information assurance.
  • Health & Safety awareness.
