Overview
The HVAC Project Manager will lead the delivery of commercial air conditioning projects across Kent and Surrey. This contract role involves managing schemes valued between £300k and £500k, primarily focusing on VRV/VRF systems, splits and multi‑splits, with full programme management, budget oversight, subcontractor coordination and client relationship handling. The position offers a hybrid working pattern that combines office presence in Kent, on‑site attendance and work‑from‑home flexibility. The role requires strong organisational ability, technical proficiency in HVAC systems, and a commitment to safe, timely and high‑quality project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for end‑to‑end project delivery, from handover to completion.
- Manage commercial HVAC installations including VRV/VRF, split and multi‑split systems.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, labour plans and procurement schedules.
- Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project costs, variations and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Lead site meetings and act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee commissioning, snagging and handover documentation.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Experience and Skills Required
- Proven experience managing commercial HVAC installation projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of VRV/VRF and split systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Good commercial awareness and experience managing budgets.
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
- SMSTS/SSSTS and relevant health and safety knowledge desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
