Using the spectacle of sport, we are sending a powerful and meaningful message to help alter perceptions and speed‑up the switch to electric mobility. Welcome to the home of Global Electric Street Racing.

The Role:

Are you an unshakeable, high‑energy technology professional ready to orchestrate the critical infrastructure that powers world‑class motorsport? We are looking for a Trackside Technology Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery, stability and management of our technical footprint at all championship race and test events. This isn’t an office‑bound IT job; it is a high‑octane, hands‑on role where you will bridge the gap between strategic supplier management and rugged, trackside execution under live‑broadcast pressure.

You will be the primary point of contact for all event‑specific connectivity, managing tier‑one suppliers, mapping complex fiber rings and ensuring flawless communication channels for race control, TV broadcasters and teams. Balancing meticulous pre‑event planning with rapid, real‑time problem‑solving, you will guarantee that our critical networks remain online when seconds mean millions of dollars.

  • Zero‑Downtime Network Stewardship: Own the uptime of our mission‑critical Sporting, Communications and Event networks, guaranteeing flawless latency stability during every official track session.

  • Infrastructure Design & Fiber Mapping: Produce and sign off on detailed network layouts, physical fiber path diversity plans and redundancy architectures to eliminate single points of failure at temporary street circuits and permanent tracks.

  • On‑Site Execution & Freight Operations: Oversee the installation, splicing and testing of fiber rings, manage off‑season maintenance and international customs paperwork for our technology freight.

  • Stakeholder & Request Management: Act as the central interface for all ad‑hoc connectivity requests, delivering seamless service for VIP hospitality Wi‑Fi, IP‑CCTV feeds to broadcasters and bandwidth allocation for race teams.

  • SLA Audits & Continuous Improvement: Author technical debriefs and analyse vendor performance against strict SLAs within 72 hours of every race, documenting incidents and outlining systemic improvements for the next event.

What we’re looking for in you:

  • The Motorsport‑Tested Engineer: 5+ years of experience in network engineering, systems administration or IT project delivery, with at least 2 years in high‑pressure, live‑event or motorsport environments (e.g., Formula E, F1, WEC).

  • The Technical & Physical Generalist: Deep expertise in enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, firewalls) and wireless technologies (RF planning, Wi‑Fi 6/7, spectrum management), plus hands‑on fibre‑optic and copper deployments.

  • The Diplomatic Vendor Manager: Proven track record of managing high‑value technical contracts and holding on‑site delivery partners accountable to strict SLAs, across cultures and languages.

  • The Unshakeable Crisis Leader: Exceptional mental agility for troubleshooting live TV failures and communicating solutions to executive leadership and race officials swiftly.

  • The Resilient Global Traveler: Ability to thrive during challenging on‑site schedules, outdoor weather extremes, and constant international travel, maintaining a meticulous, zero‑error mindset.

What’s in it for you?

  • 25 days’ annual leave, Birthday day off and Wellbeing leave
  • Opportunity to extend your stay if travelling for a race event
  • Health Cash Plan and access to the Aviva Digital Workplace app
  • Enhanced Parental Leave
  • Flexible Bank Holidays
  • Paid volunteer and carer’s leave
  • Cycle to Work and Electric Car Scheme
  • Formula E store discount
  • Regular social events and employee working groups
