Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist – Acute Care & Oncology

Manchester
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Part-time hours may also be considered

We are recruiting for a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading private cancer care service in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hospital pharmacist looking to develop their career within a highly specialist oncology and acute care environment.

You will support the safe and effective use of medicines across inpatient, day care and outpatient services, working closely with consultants, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.

The role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care while contributing to the continued development of clinical pharmacy services within a growing and ambitious department.

The role will include:

• Providing expert clinical pharmacy input across acute care and oncology services
• Supporting the safe, effective and appropriate use of medicines
• Delivering pharmacy services across inpatient, day care and outpatient settings
• Working closely with consultants, nurses and other healthcare professionals
• Supporting medicines management systems and clinical governance
• Contributing to service improvement and pharmacy development projects
• Acting as a senior clinical role model within the department
• Supervising and supporting junior pharmacy colleagues
• Providing education and training to pharmacy, nursing and medical teams

To be considered, you will need:

• MPharm or BSc Pharmacy qualification
• Current GPhC registration
• A relevant postgraduate clinical qualification, such as a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
• Previous acute hospital pharmacy experience, which is essential
• Experience within oncology, acute medicine or another relevant specialist area would be advantageous
• Strong clinical, communication and multidisciplinary working skills
