Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of Northern Ireland’s leading Food Manufacturing businesses to recruit a Site Services Team Lead for their manufacturing facility in Dungannon.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, time-served engineer looking to take ownership of site services within a large-scale food manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Engineering Coordinators and Services Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance of critical site services, ensuring plant reliability while supporting ongoing utility improvement projects.

Your day to day As Site Services Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of key site services, including boiler houses, plant rooms and utility systems. You’ll work closely with production and engineering teams, coordinate specialist contractors and play a key role in maintaining site infrastructure.

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of site services and utilities.
  • Coordinating service contractors and planned maintenance activities.
  • Monitoring utility consumption and supporting improvement initiatives.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  • Welding and pipefitting repairs as required.
  • Maintaining steam boilers, refrigeration, ventilation, heating, vacuum, water and effluent treatment systems.
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment reliability.
  • Providing technical support and advice to production teams.

Your essentials

  • Time-served Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of four years’ industrial experience.
  • Strong mechanical and plumbing background.
  • Experience working with steam generation, refrigeration systems and effluent treatment plants.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drives, pneumatics and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently while communicating effectively across departments.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and transmission equipment.
