Occupational Therapist Band 5 – High Peak AWA Living Well

Band 5, Permanent, Full time or Part time. 37.5 hours per week. Placement at Corbar View CMHT, Town Buxton. Salary £32,073 – £39,043 per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time). Ref: 383‑ACA‑7545‑26.

High Peak Living Well Adult CMHT seeks an enthusiastic Band 5 Registered Occupational Therapist to join the friendly and supportive team based at Corbar View.

The role involves assessing and supporting adults with mental illness who live in the local community and travelling across the geographical area.

You will manage a diverse caseload under the supervision of a Band 6 Occupational Therapist and collaborate with partner agencies and the voluntary sector.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide initial assessments and triage in line with the short‑term Living Well offer.
  • Deliver OT assessment and intervention for adults’ occupational and functional needs.
  • Liaise with specialist colleagues where required.
  • Show initiative and creative problem‑solving.
  • Conduct assessments and interventions individually and in groups.
  • Work closely with nursing, medical and multi‑disciplinary teams to develop therapeutic programmes.
  • Maintain professional and legal accountability under HCPC code of practice.

Qualifications

  • Occupational Therapy degree.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Post‑graduate training relevant to specialist mental‑health practice (preferred).

Skills and experience

  • Ability to apply core OT skills in a mental health setting.
